How to search
  • Enter your search criteria in the text entry screen and click the Submit to execute the query.
  • Click the Reset button to clear the text entry fields
  • The response will be displayed on a "Results" page
Example 1: Find all cricket clubs in Hastings.
Enter "Cricket" (no quote marks) in the Key Words field, "Hastings" in the Location field, click Submit.
Example 2: Find all JPs on the Peninsula
Enter "JP" (no quotes) in the Name field and click on the Submit button. To restrict this to JPs in Sorrento, enter "Sorrento" in the Location field then submit.
 
Example 3:  Find schools in Mt Martha
Enter "School" (not "Schools") in the Key words field and "Martha" in "Location".  This ensures that you will get hits on both "Mt Martha" and "Mount Martha".  Then submit
Take care to avoid complex searches
You can submit multiple search-criteria by entering something in every box in the entry form. Take care when searching this way because it's often better to see more records than you need returned than seeing no records returned because the query was too complex.
The available information varies in condition, depending upon the category of information sought.  For example, the field "Location" describes where the object of the search is situated, and "Address" may be shown solely as the place for receiving mail or the delivery of notices.
